Anointed For Life Pt 1

The anointing of the Holy Spirit is the ability of the Holy Spirit upon us to achieve the will of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit there is no anointing. Jesus leaned on the anointing to fulfill the will of God in everything He did.
John 4:34 34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Jesus was saying, "what gives Me nourishment is to do the will of Him that sent Me."
Jesus knew the purpose of why He was sent.
John 6:38 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. Jesus said He came to finish God’s work.
The will of God is the work of God. Jesus was anointed for much more than ministry, He was anointed for life. That anointing led Him to do everything He did.
Acts 10:38 AMP 38 How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the (Holy) Spirit and with power; strength and ability and how He went about doing good (God) and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by (the power of) the devil, for God was with Him.
The anointing of God consecrated Jesus to do the full will of God. The power and ability of God rested upon Jesus so He could do the things of God. This anointing of God was the power of God (which is the ability of God) to do the ways of God. That same anointing is there for us to be Godly or do the things of God as we learn how to cooperate with the Holy Spirit
2 Peter 1:3 AMP 3 For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the (full, personal) knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).
He has given us all things to be godly or to be like Him. Notice He called us to His glory and excellence. For us to answer this call we have to strip off our former way of living and be clothed with our new way of living.
Ephesians 4:22-24 AMP 22 Strip yourselves of your former nature (put off and discard your old unrenewed self) which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion; 23 And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind (having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude), 24 And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God's image, (Godlike) in true righteousness and holiness.
The same anointing that was on Jesus is on us, and it is there to guide us in all the affairs of this life so we can go about doing good as Jesus did.
1 John 2:20 AMP 20 But you have been anointed by (you hold a sacred appointment from, you have been given an unction from) the Holy One, and you all know (the Truth) or you know all things.
This unction is to guide us in all that we should do. This anointing instructs us in all the ways of God. Thank God for the anointing, we can trust in His ability to guide us.
1 John 2:27 AMP 27 But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides (permanently) in you; (so) then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so you must abide in (live in, never depart from) Him (being rooted in Him, knit to Him), just as (His anointing) has taught you (to do).
Jesus also said I only speak as I’m informed or I receive all my information only from Him. Notice in this scripture the anointing teaches us all things. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit is our guide. Just as Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power we are anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power. When we abide in Him we are led by the same Spirit that Jesus was led with There was a work of the Holy Spirit in Jesus and through Him while He was on this earth. When we continue this teaching next time we will see how to function in this anointing.
